REGINA Harmse of the RCH Ile de France Stud in Ermelo took home the top prize in the Royal Show block test competition.
For owning the winner carcass, she received a cash prize of R1 000, the Royal Show medallion, sash and champion certificate, as well as the Crafcor Hygrade Floating Trophy.
The first reserve champion carcass was a White Dorper owned by Gert Lötter Junior, from Hofmeyr. He received a cash prize of R500, sash and reserve champion certificate and a floating trophy presented by the Rajpal Rampersadh family.
Lötter’s son, Bennie received a cash prize of R200, sash and certificate for owning the second reserve champion, another White Dorper. Lötter’s White Dorpers also took top honours in group categories, winning champion group and reserve champion group. His prizes included cash prizes of R500 and R200 respectively, sashes and certificates and the Crafcor Hygrade Floating Trophy.
Regina Harmse, of RCH Ile de France Stud, was presented with the Crafcor Hygrade Floating Trophy by Royal Agricultural Society President, Mike Moncur. Harmse also received a R1000 cash prize, Royal Show medallion, sash and champion certificate for breeding the champion lamb at the 2015 Royal Show.
